Meagan Hickman
Meagan Hickman
Chicago Native, Meagan Hickman’s new album “SIGHTLINES” takes a direct look into the raw, electric, complex growth of a woman, musician, writer, producer, sister, daughter, lover, and friend. With catchy hooks, memorable grooves, and honest lyrics, Hickman’s message sheds light on life’s daily obstacles and human struggles; urging listeners to alter their perceptions to create new and fresh perspectives.

“Sightlines is an explosion of talent, its eleven tunes ranging stylistically from a straight-ahead rock anthem (the fantastic opener, “Seize the Day”) to sweetly twangy country-pop (“Not That Girl”); there’s even an R&B ballad (“Time Moves On”) that Aretha could’ve recorded (and what the hell, might yet).” – Newcity Music

A graduate of Boston’s Berklee College Music, Meagan’s journey started long before college. She began her training at the age of 6, touring the world as a member of the renowned Anima Singers. Her work since then, both onstage as an artist and behind the scenes as a production coordinator, has kept her touring nationwide. From 2011 to 2012, Meagan completed her first coast to coast US tour in support of her debut EP, “On My Way.” In the Summer of 2015 Meagan toured extensively throughout the Midwest and East Coast, promoting her most recent, full-length album, Sightlines. When not on the road, Meagan spends her time inspiring young artists, by teaching voice, piano, and songwriting lessons, as well as instructing group classes at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago.

As a performer, Meagan’s love for music and positive messages come across effortlessly. Her ability to connect with audiences and share her experiences has afforded her opportunities to play some of Chicago’s most well respected venues including The Metro, Lincoln Hall, Schubas, Double Door, Cubby Bear, Mayne Stage, Evanston SPACE, Navy Pier, Daley Plaza, and more!
She has also shared the stage with established national and international acts such as UK artist Lucy Rose, Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band), Liz Longley, Lawrence, The O'Mys, The Heard, Santah, Waters, and Tim Stop.
Elisabeth Beckwitt
Elisabeth Beckwitt
It starts with a single note, a single phrase or a single melody to change a person’s life and to make art an introspective influence to one’s soul. For Pop-songwriter Elisabeth Beckwitt, music has been a constant in her life since day one; since the first notes she played on keyboard. At age eight, living in her hometown of Lexington, MA, Elisabeth discovered her love for performance when she, her parents, and her older brother began putting on small concerts for their friends and family. With her mother on violin and brother and father on piano, Elisabeth’s love for music, specifically for singing, started to bloom.

Though fond memories of playing music with her family filled her early years, Elisabeth’s childhood was not without its hardships. Throughout her teenage years, Elisabeth struggled with severe anxiety and depression stemming from childhood abuse. Elisabeth’s struggles led her to seek professional psychiatric assistance, where she was eventually diagnosed with a mental disorder. The help Elisabeth received gave her the tools she needed to make it through a difficult time in her life while teaching her to manage her diagnosis. It is her hope that by being open about her disorder and sharing her personal struggles, she can help to erase the stigma that is oftentimes associated with mental health.

”I write for the child that doesn't feel safe in their own home. I write for the awkward teenager who is struggling with their identity. I write for the depressed, and the addicts, and the abused. I write for them because I am them, and I know what it is to feel unheard. I want to write the music that I needed in the darker times of my life, because I got through them and I know that you can't do it alone,” says Beckwitt.

Presently, Elisabeth takes inspiration from indie-pop acts such as Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles. She writes with heart and confidence, her clear voice typically accompanied by melodic piano. Elisabeth recently released a music video for her track, “One More” a project that serves to open up a dialogue for those struggling with addiction of all types. Elisabeth is currently finishing up a brand new EP and will be back on the road touring this summer and fall.
Elle Casazza
Elle Casazza
Elle Casazza diversifies the pop scene with her own refreshing and authentic blend of jazz, soul, funk and pop rhythms that are seamlessly crafted into her songs. Elle’s commanding vocals, defying songwriting and versatile approach produces infectious and timeless music that garners fans worldwide.

The re-creative and contemporary singer-songwriter showcases her retro-pop style in her latest record, Proof. The album was released at the end of 2016 and contains the lead pop-funk single and video, “Too Bad.” Elle Casazza gears up for her second release and music video entitled, “You.” The new track is a rousing love ballad highlighting a devoted relationship that is continuously endless. Casazza’s impassioned vocals lead us into an empowering bridge that carries out the song with a full band and harmonic back-up vocals.

“Writing ‘You’ was writing a promise to myself, Elle notes. After a tumultuous and emotional night, the first verse just poured out of me. It’s not only a love ballad to that someone special in my life, but to myself as well.”

Proof explores a variety of genres that display Elle Casazza’s creative depth and musical diversity. The full-length features 1960’s soul influenced singles such as “Hey” and “Cooking” as well as, tracks like “Save Me” that contain funk-rock and jazz fusion elements. Elle cohesively blends a wide range of musical expressions that smoothly unfold as the record continues. With her latest album Proof, Elle hopes to “deliver authenticity by bringing the live band back to pop music,” she says.

Hailing from Chicago, Elle began singing and performing when she was eight years old. After learning how to play the piano and guitar, it wasn’t until college when she started writing her own music. Elle’s eclectic lyrical style has been considerably influenced by classic artists such as Amy Winehouse, No Doubt, Stevie Wonder and Queen.

Casazza’s songwriting process stems from personal experiences that narrow into particular themes and narratives where she can openly express herself. Her sincere and unapologetic songwriting oozes with passion and illuminates an engaging listening experience. Her powerful and silk-like vocals are complimented by retro-pop elements that bring her personal stories to life.

In May 2013, Elle Casazza made her recording debut with her EP, For Your Pleasure. In 2015, she released three stirring singles “Witness,” “Rainy Days” and “Soft & Low” which received media praise from Paste Magazine, Midwest Action, WLUW’s Radio One show in Chicago and more.

Elle Casazza has performed at some of Chicago’s premier venues such as Concord Music Hall, Martyrs, Mayne Stage and many others. Performing either solo or with her five-piece band; Elle delivers an energetically live show that showcases her heartfelt and compelling vocals along with contemporary instrumental grooves. Elle continues to add additional tour dates to support her latest release, Proof.
Jaylen Green
Jaylen Green
Jaylen Green got her musical start in San Diego, CA as co-front woman of the alternative hip-hop band afterschoolspecial which quickly became a nationally performing act. Craving her own sound, she started writing music influenced by soulful singer-songwriters like Fiona Apple and Bonnie Raitt, then blending that with tension driven alternative rock guitars and drums.
Fiercely emotive and dynamic, her live sound is a blend of haunting melodic richness and rhythmically edgy grooves. Whether performing solo or with a full band, its not hard to get drawn in. Now residing in artistically rich city of Chicago, she performs and records regularly with various projects locally and internationally.
“Jaylen Green has one of the most distinct and confident voices of any female vocalist right now, which is prevalent in any of the projects she is involved with. After meeting her as a blossoming guest singer in a Brovabey hip-hop session years ago, I’ve only seen her progress in the time since. I am excited to hear what she comes up with as the front-woman of her self-titled band. Keep an ear out for Jaylen’s strong melodies and introspectively honest lyrics. You will not be disappointed!”
