Fay Ray
Fay Ray (formerly Church Booty) has evolved. With 8 moving parts topped by the electric vocals of Mariel Fechik, the Chicago band's funk and jazz influence grows into a character all its own. Fay Ray's debut EP “No Love,” released Oct 2017, brings the band's chemistry and collaboration into the spotlight, with 4 diverse tracks that explore the intricacy of romantic relationships.
Emily Blue
Emily Blue
Emily Blue is a rare flavor of pop. Glitchy, sophisticated, and infectiously catchy, the Chicago vocalist and writer draws inspiration from Maggie Rogers, FKA Twigs, and Sylvan Esso. Her most recent release, nicknamed #BubbleGumAcidPop, features the dual-single "Blackberries // Rico Acid," which gives a small but powerful preview of Blue’s (and producer Max Perenchio's) capabilities. Her love of quirk and color expand into the new visual for "Rico Acid," which premiered July 21 via ELEVATOR magazine. Look out for a very packed 2017 for Blue, whose musical direction may lean into even stranger territory.
